Virginia: Apple House, Front Royal and Hot Dogs
DAY EIGHT
We packed
our bags and headed out to our next destination, Front Royal. I wanted the “Doug” for breakfast once more
before leaving Gloucester so we stopped at the Courthouse Restaurant again. After a satisfying breakfast, we were
off.
The drive
from Gloucester to Front Royal was a nice one.
By the time we got to Linden, we stopped to shop and eat at the Apple
House. The food was homemade and cooked
to order. The store had lots of unusual
items with some made by local artists.
We had pleasure shopping and eating at this delightful place.
Linden wasn’t
far from Front Royal. We located our
hotel, Quality Inn, at checked in. After
relaxing for just a few, we drove around the town. We stopped and parked in the historic
district taking photos and shopping at the unique stores. When it came time for dinner, we chose the
Daily Grind. We each had one of their
hot dogs and a beverage. After dinner,
we drove around more and then went back to our room. Day eight was over.
