Limoncello


Limoncello. Italian summer liquor. Lemon peels and scrape off as much pith as possible. Fill 8 oz. Mason jar with peels. Add vodka to fill. Put cheesecloth or light fabric over opening and rubber band. Set aside one week in cabinet. In one week, strain. Heat 2 cups water and 1-1/2 cups sugar to boil 15 mins. Cool. Add to strained vodka. Put in bottle with cork. Leave in fridge. This drink is ideal icy cold in shot glass.
