Abandoned Miami: What's On Orphan Street?

Image
This street is our favorite place to photograph abandoned structures in Miami AZ. From the street you have a great view of Miami and the surrounding mountains. I only did short videos while on this street, the rest of the time I took pictures and I took lots. I will break up my abandoned pictures on a couple of posts so I don't overwhelm you with lots of pictures. Miami gave us lots to photograph and so did the neighboring town of Superior. Those will have there own post. Sadly, this is what many of the mining towns in Arizona look like. I am happy to say that there are lots of people trying to revitalize these towns.

Miami AZ: Five Years of Changes

Image
Sharon and I set out for an urban exploration in Miami AZ hoping to find lots of abandoned sites to photograph. We have not been to Miami in over five years, so we were curious to see if there were any changes. I decided to check out the photos I took in 2016 and compare them to 2021. There were plenty of changes in this small mining town. Some places didn't change much, while others were in worst conditions or gone all together. I decided to put some of my pictures from 2016 side by side with the ones I just took. The photos on the left are from 2016 and the ones on the right are from 2021.
