Feeling Like Fall

Image
As I have said before, I love fall. Here are some of the photos I took with a fall theme.

They're Creepy and They're Spooky

Getting ready for Halloween and taking scary photos. I had fun setting up stuff to take photos with a Halloween theme. I even moved my camera while shooting and got an interesting blurred effect.

Photography with Michael Myers

I spent a couple of days at Sharon's house to do another photo session. This time we concentrated on fall and Halloween pictures. That is our favorite time of year. With the weather being so hot here, we had dreams of fall.  One of the props we used was a Michael Myers mask along with a Jason hockey mask as well. We usually like to put the mask in different situations and then take a photo of it. She has so many plants and fun objects in her backyard that we had no trouble coming up with interesting photos to shoot.

Vintage Turquoise Watchband: J.L. Nelson

Image
When my Dad passed away in 2004, my Mom let us have some of his personal belongings. She split everything between his four kids and 10 grandkids. I ended up with his turquoise watchband. It is heavy with lots of silver and rough turquoise pieces on each side. It is detailed with silver balls and feathers. On the underneath or back of the piece is an engraved name, J.L. Nelson. I think my Dad bought this in the 1970s or 1980s, but I can't be sure. I was hoping to find the artist, but not having any luck. I would really like to know when it was made and how much it is worth today. I will never part with it because it is a family heirloom. We did get it polished but they left much of the tarnish to show its age.

Hello Dolly

Doll heads in different situations will definitely make a creepy photo. We had a blast taking pictures of the many heads that adorn Sharon's backyard.
