A Moody Desert

Image
I took several photos with my new camera in black and white, also in photo sepia. I really like the look of how they came out. It makes the desert look a bit moody. I put them together in a video.

Picketpost Mountain AZ

Image
About 40 miles east of Phoenix, and right on the outskirts of Superior, sits Picketpost Mountain. Many enjoy hiking the mountain which is near the Superstition Mountains. The story is told that a mailbox was placed on the top of the mountain and holds the log books for the Picketpost Mountain Trail. We went there in search of Apache Tears and we did find some. I did a post on Apache Tears. Here is the link:  Apache Tears (echoesofthesouthwest.com)

Photography: The Desert Backyard

Image
I took these photos of Sharon's backyard. It has a desert look and feel. She lives near South Mountain. I just had to take photos.

Photography: Winter Desert

Image
These photos were taken this January on South Mountain in Phoenix AZ. I used a filter on my lens to see if it reduces the harsh sun rays. I think the photos turned out great.
