It is that time of year where you will see documentaries and other specials on haunted places on TV. All over American, these haunted places are some of the scariest places to visit. The Travel Channel had a documentary on these such places. If you missed it, I linked the video of the entire show.

The Old Spaghetti Factory started in Oregon on January 10, 1969 by Guss and Sally Dussin. They built their restaurant not only with great food, but with "honesty, dignity, respect, hard work, and guest satisfaction" as noted on their website: http://www.osf.com/. The dining experience has as much to do with made-from-scratch foods with fresh ingredients, but also the amazing decor. From antiques to interesting glass displays, the Old Spaghetti Factory is a warm and inviting place with that down-home feel.

The corn maze at Schnepf Farms in Queen Creek, Arizona, is haunting and creepy at night. Every year, around Halloween, Sharon and I find ourselves running around and getting lost in the tall, dark and spooky maze. The follow video is of photos that I took for the past four years (2010-2013) of the corn maze.

Don't forget to see Boothill Graveyard when visiting Tombstone. It is located just at the edge of town. See which outlaw, lawman, or citizen of Tombstone is buried there.

"Getting lost to find ourselves"
Sharon and I wrote this book in 2011 after our ghost investigation in the Birdcage Theatre, Tombstone, AZ. Here is the description for this book:
"This book chronicles the lives on Sharon Day and Julie Ferguson, two paranormal bloggers who met at a though time in both their lives. Facing middle-aged dilemmas, hard time and rough decisions, they sought the open road to uncover the mysteries of the paranormal world. In the process of getting away from their problems, the women went towards something even more precious - their genuine selves. Each chapter of this book begins with the authors' goals heading off on road trip adventures, sharing both their points of view during their sojourns, and ends with all the unexpected outcomes. It's those unexpected outcomes that lead toward the the women's metamorphoses and their success. They hit the road to get lost and serendipitously found themselves. Join their ghost hunts, urban explorations, and the process of living up to one's potential. You might just start using their favorite phrase, "you just never know."
Many of our goals have changed since the book was published. Our lives have gone in different directions with unexpected things happening along the way. Some were good and some were not. We would like to add to this book and make other changes. This book is a labor of love and very personal to the both of us. I don't know when this book will get re-released, but when that time is near, we will let everyone know. Also, I plan to design a new cover for the revised copy. For now, the original copy is still available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and also available at online stores everywhere.

"Zombie Housewives of the 1980’s, the fourth book in the “Zombie Housewives” series, takes the reader into the decade of the 1980’s where everything is brighter, louder, and more obnoxious than any other generation. Pop icons, technology, and materialism are the standard measures of success. When ZIDS (zombies-in-development syndrome) hits the rock circuit and spreads throughout the world creating invincible flesh-eating zombies, its influence is reflected in all pop culture of the 1980’s. Join Brandi, the mall rat and girl band member, and Madison, the entrepreneur and materialistic yuppie, on their journey through the wild 80’s as women of the decade and zombies, as well. Enjoy this urban fantasy, social satire, tongue-in-cheek book in Kindle format and this FULL-COLOR COLLECTIBLE VERSION."
Amazon - Paperback and Kindle
Barnes and Noble - Nook
Eventually, we will be putting all four books in one big fat zombie housewives of the apocalypse book. We want everyone to have the opportunity to have all four decades in one book. I don't know when this book will be published, but we will let everyone know when that time comes. Meanwhile, all our books are available on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and at all online bookstores everywhere.

Did you know that Sharon has four careers going at once? Not only is she a stock investor, writer, researcher for various groups, but is dabbling in oil. Someday, she hopes to learn more about the oil business. She is a highly intelligent woman, but has this incredibly fun side that likes to do crazy and off-the-wall stuff. Her personality is the perfect mix for my personality.
I am officially a published author (Arizona Back Roads: A Travel Guide to Ghosts, Outlaws, and Miners) and my first single book will be available on October 28, 2014 (pre-orders are available). This is the first of my travel books. I did illustrations for our children's and tween's books. I have plans to do lots more illustrations. I also designed most of our book covers. Along with writing and illustrating books, I am enjoying my photography and crafts. Basically, I am an artist and love every aspect of the craft. Also, I have been married for over 33 years, have two kids, one daughter-in-law, two granddaughters, and one grandson. Oh yeah, I have two dogs too.
Sharon and I love our trips. They are well-needed vacations and are partially business related. So occasionally we do silly videos after a long day and sometimes after a couple of drinks. We don't apologize for our behavior because like Cyndi Lauper said in her song, "girls just wanna have fun!" Enjoy some of my favorite moments (all recorded by Sharon).
Go to Sharon Day's YouTube Channel for more of her and I's crazy antics.
