Getting you ready for the Halloween season!

The Crypt Haunted Attractions 2015

Image
Sharon and I decided to do Halloween themed things while I was visiting her, so we hit a haunted event called, "The Crypt Haunted Attractions" at the Fiesta Mall.  Two years ago we went to this place and decided to give it another try.  We were glad we did because it was fun and scary.  There are three attractions, but we only did two. The first place is known at "The Crypt" where the dearly departed are roaming around the many chambers that are hidden inside.  It was just the two of us that was lead inside by the crypt keeper.  We were given the rules of the place and sent on our way.  We wandered through a maze of vaults and spooky rooms where something or someone was always trying to get us.  We took turns leading the other into the dark corridors not knowing what was at the other end.  We rounded one corners to see mechanical zombies reaching for us.  They were a distraction so the one crawling out from under the truck could get us....

The Buttes and the Zombie Housewives

Image
For the past four years, Sharon and I celebrated the release of our zombie housewives books at the Buttes in Tempe, AZ.  After taking pictures for the Zombie Housewives of the Apocalypse , our first of the series, we needed a vacation and a drink or two.  I have no idea what we were thinking, but we hit an abandoned house in Casa Grande, in 114 degree weather, to take pictures for the book.  Those pictures were taken fast, and then it was jump in the car, drink lots of water with the a/c running high.  Since that book, we got much smarter at picture taking for the books.  Because I got better at using Photoshop, I was able to put our characters wherever we wanted.  The 1960's pictures were partially taken outside in cooler weather, but also at Sharon's apartment.  By the time we took pictures for the 1970's and the most recent book, the 1980's, we took all the pictures at her place under a light and green screen.  Even though we needed to cool...

Meet the Zombie Housewives

Image
(ZHOA 1950's) Liz is a divorcee who has a taste for all types of men and drinks mixed with blood. She is Stella's slutty sister-in-law. (ZHOA 1950's) Stella is married with two little zombie kids.  She is the typical 50's housewife with her pearls, painted face, and perfect clothes.  Even becoming a zombie never stopped her from keeping the perfect home and having a meal on the table when her husband came home from work even if the house had no roof and the meal was raw meat. (1960's) Blossom is a zombie activist living in a zommune with two zombie war vets. She is constantly fighting for zombie's rights to be treated equal to humans. (1960's) Colleen is married to a human, living in his world and younger sister to Blossom.  She wants to fight along side her big Sis, but is conflicted because of her human husband.  She wants to be accepted by his family, but they are afraid of her and don't trust that she won't eat him. ...

Zombies Invade City

Image
Every October in downtown Phoenix a group of the undead walk the streets.  They move in herds of over 5,000, moaning and looking for humans to feast on.  This year, I was told that there may be 20,000 zombies wandering the streets of Phoenix.  Our zombie housewives would like to be there, but Liz and Stella have a bowling tournament that night, Blossom and Colleen are planning a zombie rights march in Washington that night, and the 1970's ladies, Mary and Melissa are stuck in Crystal City and not allowed to travel beyond the city walls.  I have pictures of the 2011 zombie march that the 1950's ladies, Liz and Stella, attended and the new crusty friends they made. **DON'T FORGET ABOUT THE  "BIG ZOMBIE HOUSEWIVES GIVEAWAY".   Check it out and add your name to the list. Stella and Liz making friends. Riding the light rail.  Who is that zombie clown? Schmoozing with the zombie cops. She is having his zombie baby with the aide of the ...

FearCon 2012

Image
Sharon and I had a great time at the 2012 FearCon in Scottsdale, AZ.  We mingled with many talented artists, film people, and tons of zombies.  Stella and Liz (me and Sharon) were part of a zombie fashion show and were a hit with the spectators.  They wore their pink and black bowling shirts, and carried their bowling bags along with a bowling ball which was a severed head.  Stella threw her ball and got a strike while Liz tossed hers in the audience.  We had a great time. Stella and Liz with some of the critters. Some of the zombies who were there...
