The Desolate Adobe Motel

This motel is located in Gila Bend, AZ and is featured in our Abandoned Places book.  The adobe building stands empty, and without doors or windows.  The TV outside barely resembles a television at all.  This is what the outside looks like.  My next post will show the decaying inside with scattered items in each room proving that life once existed inside the adobe walls.

  1. Yikes! It's hard to believe that was ever a motel. It looks like an old jail or something. Talk about abandoned! I'm sure your photos of the interior will be creepy.

    1. Thanks Justine! I does have that western jail look to it. Many of the motels out here have that same look. The interior is just as creepy.

    1. It didn't change so much on the outside except for the poor TV. The insides were crumbling more and seem to have different junk inside.

  3. Love the photos - especially the second to last one with the close up of the entrance. It just makes you wonder what is lurking in the darkness!

    1. I like that one too. I checked it out carefully before going inside. I wouldn't want any surprises like desert critters or people to be lurking inside.
