Getting Out of the Heat

My family (hubby, daughter, granddaughter) and I went to a campground near Payson, AZ in Forest Lakes.  It was my husband's company's annual campout.  My hubby caught the most fish and won a trophy.  We had a great time and it was nice to get out of the heat.

My hubby's tent. (The girls stayed at the nearest hotel.)

The camps port-a-potty.

This critter and its friends were caught by the kids.

The campsite.

A nice fire for the evening.

hum...

Getting dark...

My daughter and granddaughter walking to camp.

  4. Yeah LGH, I did my share of tent sleeping when I was younger but don't want to do it anymore. I need a toilet and shower.

Gail, we had a great time and I was glad my daughter and granddaughter could come with us.

Bubba, he caught three crawdads that size and ate them all.

  5. Looks like you had a lot of fun. When i was younger I loved to camp, now I'll just stay in a hotel. Too many bugs crawling around at night for my taste.

  6. Vivienne, I agree...too many bugs! It's also those midnight potty runs that turn me off from staying in a tent.

  7. Oh, man, I can't wait for this weekend! I'm going to be cold. What is cold??? It's going to rain. What is rain? I want to collect every leaf I can find.

  10. The tent I could handle but I admit I'm not a fan of the porta-potty!

  12. Sean, we missed out on the ghost stories. I can't wait for my granddaughter to be old enough to tell them to her.

Brenda, that port-a-potty was ok. At least I didn't have to maintain it.

Jessica, we have fond memories of camping with our kids and friends. Our kids still talk about them.
