Carefree AZ

About 27 miles northeast of Phoenix sits the town of Carefree.  This town many be small, but has much to see when you visit.  Just over 5,000 people live in Carefree where there is lots of historic buildings which are listed in the National Register of Historic Places.  While there, check out the Carefree Museum with its Tubercular Cabin, the First Church of Carefree and Golden Reef Stamp Mill.  There is plenty of shopping and restaurants.  A couple of the historic buildings are now restaurants, the Carefree Service Station and the Carefree Inn.  You can also visit Frontier Town where pictures of the settlement's first buildings are displayed.
