Finger Rock
When you
travel on the Arizona highways through the desert, you get a feeling that the
many cacti are flipping you the bird. On Arizona Hwy 68 near Union Pass and
Kingman is a curious rock formation known as “Finger Rock”. As you glance up on the mountains along the
roadside, you will notice this oddity looks to be giving you an obscene gesture.
People driving east from Laughlin swear the rock formation is giving them the “one
finger salute”. The nearby town’s folks enjoy their little foul stone configuration
and bestowed the name “Finger Rock” upon it. Taking into account what the rock
appears to be doing that is a nicer moniker to give it.
