Tombstone: Allen Street

A lot went down on the dusty main drag of Tombstone known as Allen Street.  Many famous Wild West lawmen, outlaws, entertainers, and just regular folk walked this street.  Lots of the original structures either met their end or have been reconstructed after a fire went through this town more than once.  With all the killings and mine accidents, it's not surprising that ghosts have been seen on this street.  A white lady walks the street looking for someone or something; people burned to death in the fires have been seen with their charred bodies along with a burnt flesh smell; and Morgan Earp has been seen hanging around the place where he was gunned down and murdered.  Tombstone holds lots of history and I will be doing a few posts on this Wild West town.

  1. Isn't it surreal to think about all the famous people and history on one street? Standing there, did you feel any of that history or sense any of the spirits?

    1. You feel many spirits of those famous and no-so famous who used to walk the streets. Lots of history in that small town.

  2. Wow. With all of the people killed there, I bet the presence one feels as they walk down the street is just unreal.
